RACINES Lausanne is a fully plant-based, organic cafe-restaurant on Rue Neuve in the city centre. Everything is 100% vegan and homemade, sourced from local producers. The family-run spot grew out of a cold-pressed juice stall started at markets in 2016 and opened here in late 2018. The counter features buddha bowls with seasonal vegetables and hummus, farifrittata (a chickpea-flour frittata), colourful sandwiches and salads, sourdough and gluten-free breads, plus pastries made without refined sugar. There are many gluten-free options, fresh juices and seasonal drinks, and a changing Saturday brunch. It doubles as a pastry shop, caterer and grocery, with takeaway available and no reservation needed.
