SHIN True Japan Rotterdam

It is a Japanese restaurant and matcha cafe serving an a la carte menu with dishes such as Hokkaido sea scallops, grilled Kagoshima wagyu and bluefin tuna cuts, cooked by a certified Japanese chef. There is also a Sunday Omakase, a sake and whisky bar, house cocktails, and ceremonial-grade organic matcha from Shizuoka.

SHIN is closed Monday and Tuesday. It opens Wednesday and Thursday 14:00 to 21:30, Friday 12:00 to 22:00, Saturday 13:00 to 22:00, and Sunday 13:00 to 20:30. The kitchen closes before the stated closing time, so booking a table ahead is recommended.

SHIN is at Rodezand 23B, 3011 AM Rotterdam, in the Rotterdam Centrum district. It is a compact venue with intimate bar counter seating and a private event space for up to 50 to 60 guests.

Yes. SHIN regularly hosts a matcha tea ceremony workshop (Sado) and a cocktail workshop, as well as Japanese whisky tastings. These special experiences require advance booking.
