Klinglwirt is Munich's first certified-organic Bavarian tavern, in the Haidhausen district on Balanstraße. This family-run Bio-Wirtshaus serves traditional Bavarian fare made from organic, regional produce, with meat sourced from Herrmannsdorfer farms and Bavarian organic pigs and cattle raised in a species-appropriate way. The kitchen keeps the menu small and simple and prepares most dishes in-house, including a daily-made organic Schweinebraten with two kinds of dumplings, plus vegetarian and vegan plates. Slow Food has recognised the tavern nearly every year since it opened. It sits about three minutes on foot from the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station.
