Münster-Therme Düsseldorf

It is a Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) public bath opened on 9 April 1902 and designed by architect Richard Genschmer. It has been a listed monument since 1997 and reopened under its current name after a full renovation in 2003. The swimming hall and sauna sit beneath basilica-style vaulting that gives the building its distinctive atmosphere.

The sauna area has two Finnish saunas at 80°C and 90°C, a steam bath at 42°C, a cold/warm plunge pool, a rest lounge, and an adjoining salt grotto. There is also an approximately 40 m² outdoor sole (brine) pool kept at 32°C.

It is at Münsterstraße 13, 40477 Düsseldorf, in the Derendorf/Pempelfort area north of the city centre. It is run by Bäder Düsseldorf, the city's public bath operator.

Tuesday to Friday it is open from 06:30 to 21:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. Hours can change during outdoor pool season, when the schedule rotates with another local bath, so check the official site before you visit.
