Sofiebadet

You can build your own visit by combining a bathtub soak (kurbad), sauna, hammam, and massage, with an on-site cafe. Sofiebadet is best known for its hammam treatment, and it also hosts women's hours, saunagus, yin yoga, Qi Gong, and cultural evenings.

It is a historic bathhouse that first opened in 1909 as a public bath for the working class and was resurrected in 2000. The building keeps its original marble and tiles, preserved through renovations in 2009 and 2011, and it runs as a non-profit association.

Sofiebadet is at Sofiegade 15, 1418 København K, in Copenhagen's historic Christianshavn district.

Booking ahead is recommended because Sofiebadet is often fully booked. Membership in the association costs 125 DKK per year.

Sofiebadet opens Monday 15:00 to 20:00, Tuesday 11:00 to 21:00, Wednesday to Friday 11:00 to 20:00, Saturday 10:00 to 18:00, and Sunday 10:00 to 16:30.
