Fed By Plants Southbank

It is a fully plant-based, vegan kitchen. The signature dish is award-winning Tofish and Chips, made with crisp fried tofu in place of fish. The menu also includes bean and lentil fritters, meatless burgers, pizzas with vegan cheese, savoury and sweet buckwheat waffles with fried plantain, plus homemade vegan cheesecakes and gateaux, fruit smoothies, barista coffee, and cocktails.

It sits at Gabriel's Wharf, 56 Upper Ground, London SE1 9PP, on the South Bank between Tate Modern and the National Theatre, which makes it handy while exploring the riverside cultural sights.

The restaurant is open every day from 12:00 to 22:00.

Its Tofish and Chips has won recognition, and owner Charles Diallo built the menu around the idea that cutting meat and dairy need not compromise flavour or texture. Diners sit in a cheerful, heated tent setting at the back of Gabriel's Wharf, and table bookings as well as private party and event catering are available.
