Jugendstilbad Darmstadt

It combines swimming, wellness and sauna. The bathing area has a 25 metre four-lane pool at 28C, warm brine and thermal pools between 34 and 36C, a year-round outdoor pool at 32C, plus cold plunge and Kneipp basins. The sauna world has nine saunas inspired from around the world, and there are aqua-fitness and swimming courses.

There are three access levels: Bad (bathing only), SPA (includes bathing), and Sauna (includes SPA and bathing), each available as a day ticket or time-limited ticket. Adult day tickets are about 14.80 to 15.80 euros for Bad, 22.40 to 23.40 euros for SPA and 30.80 to 32.80 euros for Sauna, with weekends slightly higher. Please check the website for current prices.

The Jugendstilbad is open daily, including Sundays and public holidays, from 10:00 to 22:00. Swimming ends shortly before closing at around 21:40.

The nine saunas range from a 90C Finnish sauna and a 95C outdoor Finnish sauna to a Bio-Saunarium with light therapy, herbal and Japanese rose saunas, a Roman-Irish steam bath, and Arabic Rhassoul and Oriental Hamam rituals (by appointment). In January 2023 the sauna received the highest SaunaPremium five-star quality seal from the Deutscher Sauna-Bund.

It is at Mercksplatz 1, 64287 Darmstadt, in the city centre. The building itself is a historic Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) bathhouse.
