Grugapark-Therme

A brine pool with 2% Thermalsole at 32°C, a 34°C outdoor whirlpool, and a roughly 28°C indoor pool (1.35 m deep) used for weekday aqua-fitness classes. The Asian-themed sauna landscape has seven experiences, including a 50°C Shinto steam bath, a 65°C color-light sauna, an 85°C Himalaya salt sauna, and the 95°C Japan-Haus, plus a Japanese garden, quiet rooms, and a massage and spa area.

On weekdays (Mon to Fri) a 2-hour ticket is €26, 3 hours €28, and a full day €30. On weekends and holidays it is €28 for 2 hours, €30 for 3 hours, and €32 for a full day. A 3-hour morning offer (Mon to Fri, 9:00 to 12:00) costs €22. Please check the website for current prices.

Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 22:00, Friday and Saturday 9:00 to 23:00, and Sunday 9:00 to 19:00. Note that the spa closes for annual maintenance from 16 to 21 August 2026.

It sits inside the Grugapark at Lührmannstraße, 45131 Essen, in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Visitors can use the P7 parking deck.

Monday is women's day (Frauentag) across the sauna and thermal areas. The saunas are always textile-free. Children and teens under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
