What is Longevity Baden-Baden?+
Longevity Baden-Baden is a free community in the spa town for people who want to stay healthy for longer and want the reasoning behind the advice. The format is free meetups, expert talks and workshops on subjects like sleep, bloodwork, training and biological age. Nobody pays a membership fee and nothing is sold at the events. Given where we are, the point deserves stating: this is people comparing notes with each other, and there is no price list anywhere.
Is Longevity Baden-Baden a longevity club or a health club?+
Neither, in the way Baden-Baden usually means those words. We have no house, no thermal pool, no treatment rooms and no annual fee, which is what separates us from the medical spas and hotel clubs in town. Longevity Baden-Baden is a set of people who meet at free events and keep talking in a chat in between. If a private health club is what you actually want, several operate here, and some of them appear on our community Spots map.
Is there a longevity center or longevity clinic in Baden-Baden?+
Yes, though not through us. Baden-Baden holds one of the denser clusters of paid longevity offerings in Germany, from clinics attached to spa hotels to private practices selling check-ups, infusion protocols and epigenetic age tests. Longevity Baden-Baden runs none of it and has no premises at all. What the community can do is put you next to people who have paid for such a programme and will tell you frankly whether the report was worth reading. Those addresses sit on the Spots map.
Where can I find a longevity doctor or a preventive medicine practice in Baden-Baden?+
We do not refer patients, because we are a community and not a medical service. Baden-Baden is unusual in that spa physicians have worked here for generations, so preventive medicine is an ordinary local trade rather than a novelty: private practices, Kur doctors and diagnostics in the town and the surrounding area. Members talk about who explained things properly. Our Spots map lists the addresses that come up, carrying no medical judgement from us. Take the actual decision to a doctor you trust.
Is Longevity Baden-Baden a Kur, a wellness offer or a medical spa?+
No. A Kur is a prescribed or booked course of treatment with a provider behind it, and a medical spa sells you a stay. Longevity Baden-Baden sells nothing and treats nobody. We meet in ordinary rooms, spend a couple of hours on the evidence and then go home. The town's Kur tradition still shapes what people ask about, which is why heat, water and rest come up so often, but the answers we look for come from studies rather than from a brochure.
Does Longevity Baden-Baden offer longevity coaching or personal consultations?+
There is no coaching and no consultation on offer, paid or unpaid. Nobody at Longevity Baden-Baden writes you a plan, reads your labs or takes you on as a client. Plenty of coaches and clinics in town do exactly that, and members occasionally recommend one to each other. The community adds something different: a workshop where you can ask a speaker the question you did not want to ask at a paid appointment, plus free bilingual guides and a free biological age test to use before spending anything.
What longevity events, meetups and workshops happen in Baden-Baden?+
The Baden-Baden calendar is built from free meetups, expert talks and hands-on workshops. Recurring topics are sleep, nutrition, extended bloodwork, strength training, VO2max and the various tests that claim to measure biological age, with biohacking claims examined rather than repeated. Dates go up on this page, in the events feed and in the WhatsApp group. Because the town is small, an evening here often draws people from across Mittelbaden, which tends to make the conversation afterwards more interesting.
What does Longevity Baden-Baden cost?+
Nothing. Membership is free, almost every event is free, and no paid tier hides behind it. The chapter is run by volunteers, so there is no ticket income to protect. Should a format ever carry a genuine cost, a room hired per head for instance, the amount appears on the event page before you register. In a town where a spa day has a tariff and a check-up has a quote, we would rather say that clearly than leave you guessing.
How do I join Longevity Baden-Baden?+
Pick one of three routes: a free account here, the Baden-Baden WhatsApp group, or simply arriving at the next event. There is no application, no vetting and no waiting list, and nobody asks what you do for a living at the door. The WhatsApp group carries the dates first and is the easiest place to ask whether an evening suits a beginner. Instagram and LinkedIn work if you would rather follow quietly for a while before showing up.
Where can I test my biological age in Baden-Baden (DEXA, VO2max, bloodwork)?+
DEXA scans, spiroergometry for VO2max and extended blood panels are obtainable in the area, partly through private practices in Baden-Baden itself and partly in the larger centres at Karlsruhe and Offenburg. Prices in a spa town skew high, which is precisely why members compare them in the chat before anyone books. Our Spots map gathers the labs and studios that members have used themselves. Our own free biological age test gives you a first estimate without an appointment.
Do sauna, thermal baths and cold exposure feature at your meetups?+
Not as fixed formats, and we have no arrangement with any of the baths. What we do instead is work through the evidence, which is a fair conversation to have in a town where the Friedrichsbad and the Caracalla Therme stand a short walk apart: what the Finnish sauna cohort studies actually measured, where cold exposure seems to help, and where it gets in the way of a training block. The public baths are open to anyone independently, and members sometimes go together after a meetup.
Which places around Baden-Baden does the chapter cover?+
The chapter is drawn wider than the town itself, which is small by German standards. Members come in from Rastatt, Bühl, Gaggenau and the Murg valley, and Karlsruhe and Offenburg are close enough by train that people make the trip for a talk worth hearing. Strasbourg sits a short ride away across the Rhine, so a French speaker in the room is nothing unusual. Events themselves are held in Baden-Baden, at an address printed on the event page.
