What is Longevity Geneva?

Longevity Geneva is a free, science-based community for people in Geneva who want to stay healthy for longer. The Geneva chapter of Longevity Cities is for anyone who wants to talk about movement, sleep, nutrition, stress and good relationships with an evidence-based mindset, from researchers to newcomers with one simple question.

The first Geneva meetups have not been published yet, so there is no event history to point to. What the city offers is a good setting: the lakefront and the Jet d'Eau, the Bains des Pâquis, the Parc des Bastions and the paths along the Rhône, plus a research and international community around the University of Geneva, CERN and the many organisations based here. Dates will be announced on this page as soon as they are fixed.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Geneva WhatsApp group linked on this page and watch the calendar. Ideas for a first gathering are welcome there. Longevity Geneva is a community, not a longevity clinic: people come to learn, compare notes on tests and check-ups and ask experts their questions.

Frequently asked questions

What is Longevity Geneva?
Longevity Geneva is the Geneva chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy ageing. It is meant for anyone in Geneva who wants to talk about movement, sleep, nutrition and stress with an evidence filter, whether you work in research or just want to learn. The chapter is at an early stage, and its first gatherings will be announced on this page.
Are there longevity events or meetups in Geneva?
Longevity Geneva has not published its first meetup yet, but the group is set up and forming. The first dates will appear in the calendar on this page and in the Geneva WhatsApp group linked here, together with place and registration details. Suggestions for a first format, such as a lakeside walk or a small dinner, are welcome in the group.
Is there a longevity clinic or longevity doctor in Geneva?
Geneva has private clinics and check-up centres offering longevity programmes, but Longevity Geneva is not one of them: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. In Switzerland a longevity blood test starts at roughly 280 francs and clinic check-ups typically cost roughly 1,000 to 2,000 francs, while premium programmes exceed 10,000 francs. Basic insurance does not pay. Beware of any offer that promises to reverse ageing.
Where can I test my biological age in Geneva?
In Geneva you can send off an epigenetic test by post, get blood-based markers through your GP or a private lab (from roughly 280 francs for a longevity blood panel) or track fitness markers such as VO2max and grip strength. The last two are free to estimate with the calculators on this site. Different epigenetic clocks give different numbers, so use a result as a starting point for a conversation with your doctor.
Is there a longevity center or community in Switzerland?
Longevity Cities has Swiss chapters in Zurich, Basel and Geneva, all free and community-run. Zurich already hosts regular meetups, Basel is being founded and Geneva is forming. None of them is a treatment centre. If you are looking for a clinic, use the community to compare experiences first, and use your GP as a first stop for tests.
Where can I find a biohacking or healthy living community in Geneva?
Longevity Geneva is a free place in Geneva to talk biohacking and healthy living with an evidence filter. Right now the conversation happens in the Geneva WhatsApp group linked on this page, where you can ask questions about sleep, training, cold exposure or nutrition. With a research-heavy city around you, expect people who like to ask what the study actually showed.
I am new to Geneva. How can I meet people here?
Longevity Geneva is a low-key way to meet people in a city with many newcomers: join the Geneva WhatsApp group linked on this page, say hello and watch for the first gathering. Most people join alone, and formats like walks and dinners are built for conversation. The community is mixed in age and background, and all adults are welcome.
What does Longevity Geneva cost and how do I join?
Longevity Geneva is free: create an account, join the Geneva WhatsApp group linked on this page and follow the calendar. When meetups are published, walks by the lake or in the Parc des Bastions are usually free, while a dinner or a coffee is paid by you on the spot. Geneva is an expensive city, so each listing states any cost upfront.
Will Longevity Geneva meetups be in French, English or German?
Geneva is French-speaking and very international, and Longevity Geneva welcomes all of it. The language of each meetup is stated in its event listing, so you know before you go. If you would prefer French, English or German sessions, say so in the Geneva WhatsApp group, because the community shapes what gets organised.
