What is Longevity Stuttgart?

Longevity Stuttgart is a free community for the Kessel and the towns around it, for people who want more healthy years and want to see the numbers behind a claim. The city sits in a basin and is built onto slopes, so the Stäffele, the public staircases stitching the hillsides together, turn an ordinary walk home into interval training. Vineyards run down towards the tracks near Untertürkheim. Beneath Bad Cannstatt lies a mineral water reserve the city describes as the second largest in Europe, which is why Stuttgart still has working Mineralbäder while other cities filled theirs in.

Free meetups, expert talks and hands-on workshops are what we do. Recurring topics are bloodwork, sleep, nutrition, strength training, VO2max (the amount of oxygen your body can use at full effort) and the tests that put a number on biological age. Nutrition science sits close by at the Universität Hohenheim, engineering is the local trade, and both show up in the questions people ask, which tend to start with how a measurement was made.

We are a community, not a longevity center, a clinic or a paid health club. Stuttgart has all three in commercial form: a longevity club selling monthly memberships, private practices offering check-ups and infusion protocols, sports diagnostics labs, cold chambers and float studios. Messe Stuttgart hosts a ticketed longevity congress and the Biohacking Days, run entirely by other organisers. None of that is us. Membership costs nothing, we sell nothing and diagnose nothing, and the community Spots map lists labs, gyms and longevity-friendly practices without vetting them medically.

Expect a mixed room: engineers from the automotive and supplier world, medical staff, founders, and people who have never tracked anything and would like to start. The chapter covers Ludwigsburg, Esslingen, Böblingen and the direction of Tübingen, which is why venues stay close to an S-Bahn stop. Make a free account, join the WhatsApp group, or come to the next event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Stuttgart?+
Longevity Stuttgart is a free community for people in and around the city who want to stay healthy for longer and prefer a measured answer to a confident one. The format is free meetups, expert talks and hands-on workshops on bloodwork, sleep, training, nutrition and biological age. Nobody pays to belong and nothing gets sold. Beginners are as welcome as people who have kept a spreadsheet of their own lab values for years, and questions here usually start with how something was measured.
Is Longevity Stuttgart a longevity club or a health club with a membership fee?+
No. Stuttgart does have a longevity club that charges a monthly membership, and that is a different kind of thing from us. Longevity Stuttgart has no premises, no membership tiers and no bill at the end of the month. What exists is a calendar of free events and a group chat. If a paid club, a concierge medicine package or a private gym suits you better, several operate in the region, and some of them appear on our Spots map.
Is there a longevity center in Stuttgart?+
Not one that belongs to us. Commercial longevity centres and preventive practices do exist across the region, offering check-ups, infusion protocols, genetic panels and body composition scans, some in the city and some out in Esslingen or Ludwigsburg. Longevity Stuttgart holds no rooms and no equipment, so there is nothing here you could book. The Spots map collects local labs, studios and longevity-friendly practices so you can see what is nearby, and a listing is not a medical recommendation from us.
Which longevity doctors or clinics can I turn to in Stuttgart?+
We do not place people with doctors, since a community is not a medical service. The region is well equipped: private practices in Stuttgart advertise longevity and prevention, university medicine is close by in Tübingen, and radiology and laboratory providers here sell scans and panels directly. Ask in the group and you will hear who took the time to explain a result instead of handing over a printout. Our Spots map holds the addresses, and the decision belongs between you and a physician.
Does Longevity Stuttgart offer coaching or a personal training plan?+
No. There is no coach, no training plan and no programme with your name on it. Longevity Stuttgart is people meeting, plus free tools and bilingual guides you can use on your own. Coaching is sold in the region by clubs, personal trainers and practices, and nobody here will talk you out of paying for one if it fits your situation. The community offers a different thing: a workshop where the person on stage has to answer follow-up questions, and members who say what a plan actually changed for them.
What longevity events, meetups and biohacking sessions run in Stuttgart?+
The Stuttgart format is free meetups, expert talks and hands-on workshops, with biohacking treated as a subject to examine rather than a badge to wear. Topics rotate through sleep, nutrition, extended bloodwork, strength training, VO2max and how biological age gets estimated. The chapter is building up its calendar, so the events feed and this page are the places to watch, along with the Stuttgart WhatsApp group where dates are floated first. Venues stay near an S-Bahn stop so people from the surrounding towns get home easily.
What does it cost to take part in Longevity Stuttgart?+
Nothing, however often you come. Membership is free, almost every event is free, and the chapter is carried by volunteers rather than by ticket sales. If a format ever has a real cost behind it, a room billed per person for example, that price appears on the event page before you sign up. The free biological age test and the guides are open to you with or without an account. Nobody collects payment details at any point, and no paid tier is waiting later.
How do I join Longevity Stuttgart?+
Three doors, all free: an account here, the Stuttgart WhatsApp group, or walking into the next event. There is no application, no approval and no trial period. Most people start in the group chat, because that is where the dates and the practical questions land. If you would rather watch for a while, Instagram and LinkedIn carry the announcements. Coming in from Ludwigsburg or Esslingen is normal, so check the venue on the event page and plan the ride back.
Where can I test my biological age in Stuttgart (DEXA, VO2max, bloodwork)?+
Stuttgart is comfortable ground for this. Sports diagnostics is well established in the region, so spiroergometry for VO2max is easy to arrange, DEXA scans are available through radiology providers and private practices, and several labs sell extended blood panels directly. Costs vary widely, which is why members swap quotes before anyone books. Our Spots map lists the places members have used, without medical vetting. Our own free biological age test gives you a starting estimate before you spend money on a panel.
Do you run cold chamber, floating or sauna sessions in Stuttgart?+
Not as formats of our own. Stuttgart has cold chambers, float tanks and hotel spas, and the Mineralbäder in Bad Cannstatt and at Berg draw on the mineral springs under the valley, yet none of that is operated by us and we hold no partnership with any of them. Where the topic does belong is in a talk: what cold exposure does to a training adaptation, and why the timing matters more than the temperature. For a group visit, propose one in the WhatsApp group.
Is Longevity Stuttgart connected to the longevity summit or the Biohacking Days at Messe Stuttgart?+
No connection. The longevity congress and the Biohacking Days held at Messe Stuttgart are ticketed events with their own organisers, and we have nothing to do with the programme or the pricing. Plenty of people in this field turn up at both, so the topics overlap, although the setting does not: a trade fair sells stands and tickets, while our meetups are free and small enough that you can argue with the speaker. Attending both is a perfectly reasonable plan.
Which towns around Stuttgart does the chapter cover?+
The chapter is drawn around the metro region rather than the city limits, so Ludwigsburg, Esslingen, Böblingen, Sindelfingen and Waiblingen belong to it, and Tübingen is close enough that students and clinicians make the trip. Events are held centrally in Stuttgart, usually a short walk from an S-Bahn or U-Bahn stop, because the basin makes anything else awkward late in the evening. The Spots map covers the same wider area, so a lab in Esslingen shows up alongside a gym in the city.
