What is Longevity Frankfurt?

Longevity Frankfurt is a free, science based community for people who want their later decades to stay healthy. The city packs a lot into a small footprint: the bank towers around the Taunusanlage, the Messe halls, Goethe University's Westend campus and the running paths along the Mainufer sit a few S-Bahn stops apart. That density comes at a price. Long working days, early flights out of Terminal 1 and late dinners are normal here, so sleep and recovery tend to be the first things people drop.

Our Frankfurt calendar is built from free meetups, expert talks and practical workshops. Recurring subjects: biological age and how it is actually measured, blood panels (Blutwerte) and which markers repay tracking, sleep, nutrition, strength training and VO2max, which is how much oxygen your body can use while training hard. Healthspan, meaning the years you stay functional rather than merely alive, runs through most evenings. Sometimes a clinician speaks, sometimes you leave a workshop with a written plan, sometimes a small group swaps notes in Nordend or Sachsenhausen.

We are a community, not a longevity centre, clinic or paid health club, and there is no membership fee at any level. Frankfurt does have a dense commercial scene around this: preventive medicine practices in the Westend, infusion and NAD studios, recovery lounges, doctors working in functional medicine, and private diagnostics selling DEXA scans and VO2max testing. None of it is ours, we take no commission, and we vet nobody medically. What we do have is a Spots map where members mark labs, gyms and longevity friendly practices across the Rhein-Main area.

The people who turn up are a broad mix: analysts from the towers, hospital and practice doctors, founders, personal trainers, students from Goethe University's Riedberg science campus, and plenty who read one book about ageing and arrived with questions. Dates are posted here and on Meetup. Set up a free account, join the Frankfurt WhatsApp group, or just walk into the next event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Frankfurt?+
Longevity Frankfurt is a free community for people in and around Frankfurt who want to stay healthy for as long as possible, and what we discuss is grounded in published research rather than the current trend. We hold meetups, expert talks and workshops on biological age, blood markers, sleep, nutrition and strength training. Nobody pays a fee, nobody is screened at the door, and no prior knowledge is expected. If you have never measured a single thing about your own health, that is a perfectly normal place to start here.
Is Longevity Frankfurt a longevity club or a paid health club?+
It is a club purely in the community sense: no membership fee, no contract, no training floor of our own. Searches for longevity club Frankfurt mostly return private clubs and studios that bill monthly, and we work on a different basis. The value here sits in the people and in the evenings themselves, so you can come to a talk on a Tuesday, put an awkward question to the speaker, and leave again without ever handing over a card number. We sell neither treatments nor memberships.
Is there a longevity centre or longevity hub in Frankfurt?+
Frankfurt has several private longevity centres and recovery hubs, with new ones opening regularly, but Longevity Frankfurt is not one of them. We are a free community without premises of our own, so we borrow rooms around the city instead of running a facility. If you are shopping for a centre, the useful thing we offer is unfiltered opinion: members who already paid for a package will tell you what was included and whether the follow up was any good. The Spots map collects the places people rate.
Where can I find a longevity doctor, clinic or treatment in Frankfurt?+
We provide no treatments and cannot refer you anywhere, since we are a community rather than a medical provider. Frankfurt does have a dense private offer: preventive medicine practices in the Westend, infusion and NAD studios, doctors working in functional medicine, and providers advertising ozone, peptide or oxygen protocols. The evidence behind those differs enormously, which is precisely what members argue about at events. Begin with your GP or a preventive medicine practice, then use our Spots map to see which addresses Frankfurt members actually return to.
Is there a longevity programme in Frankfurt, and do you run one?+
We run no programme, and there is nothing here to enrol in or buy. What exists instead is an open calendar: come to the dates that interest you, skip the rest. Paid longevity programmes certainly exist across the region, from preventive packages in Frankfurt to spa style protocols up in Bad Homburg, usually built around lab panels, imaging and a fixed coaching schedule. If you want one, compare what gets measured, how often you are seen again, and what happens to your data afterwards. Members will happily pressure test the sales pitch with you.
Do you offer longevity consulting or coaching in Frankfurt or Offenbach?+
No. We advise nobody individually, sell no coaching and take no clients, whether in Frankfurt, Offenbach or anywhere else. People do search for longevity consulting in Offenbach, and what they tend to find are independent coaches and practices around Rhein-Main charging by the hour. Our chapter covers that same catchment, so anyone from Offenbach, Hanau or Bad Homburg is welcome at every date we hold. Bring your question to a meetup and you will get several opinions for nothing, none of which counts as binding medical advice.
What longevity events, meetups and biohacking sessions happen in Frankfurt?+
The Frankfurt calendar runs on three formats: meetups where people talk in small groups, expert talks from a researcher or practitioner, and hands on workshops on things like reading your own blood panel. Biohacking evenings cover sleep tracking, cold exposure, continuous glucose monitors and supplements, always with the caveat that the data is thinner than the marketing. A fixed run club or sauna round is not something we currently hold. If you want to start one along the Mainufer, propose it in the WhatsApp group and see who bites.
Is Longevity Frankfurt free?+
Yes, taking part costs nothing. There is no membership fee, no annual charge and no premium tier, and almost every event is free to attend as well. Occasionally a format passes a small cost straight through, for example when a venue charges per head or a lab test is bought as a group, and that is stated on the event page before you sign up. Nothing gets upsold afterwards, and nobody will ring you to pitch a package.
How do I join Longevity Frankfurt?+
Pick whichever is easiest: set up a free account on the site, join the Frankfurt WhatsApp group, or simply show up at the next event without telling anyone first. There is no application, no waiting list and no approval step. Most people find their first date through our events feed or the Frankfurt Meetup page, then decide on the spot whether the group suits them. Turning up alone is completely normal, and someone will start talking to you within a minute.
Where can I test my biological age in Frankfurt (DEXA, VO2max, bloodwork)?+
Frankfurt is not short of options: sports medicine practices offering VO2max spiroergometry, body composition providers with DEXA scans, and private labs selling extended blood panels. None of that is run by us, though our free biological age tool gives you a rough first reading before you spend anything. Members post what a scan cost them and how well the results were explained, which is the part that varies most. The Spots map lists labs, gyms and studios across the city and the Rhein-Main area.
Are you behind the longevity shows and congresses held in Frankfurt?+
No, we have no connection to any of them. Frankfurt is a trade fair city, so longevity shows, festivals and business congresses land here regularly, some at the congress centre of the Messe Frankfurt, and those are ticketed events put on by commercial organisers. Our members often go together and then hold a debrief afterwards, which usually beats the exhibition floor for actual information. For a specific longevity show, check the organiser's own page for dates, and check our events feed for the free community side.
Which parts of Frankfurt do you meet in, and does the chapter cover the wider Rhein-Main area?+
Events move around the city rather than sitting in one venue, so a given month might take you to the Westend, Sachsenhausen, Bockenheim or the Ostend near the river. Locations get chosen for being reachable by S-Bahn or U-Bahn in the evening, which matters when a good share of the room commutes in. The catchment is Rhein-Main, so Offenbach, Bad Homburg, Hanau, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden are all within sensible reach. Every event page names the exact address and the nearest stop.
